## Facts per listing
Name, license or registration number, type (licensed CPA, registered CPA, CPA firm), status, expiration date, first-issue date, city and county, and every disciplinary action IDFPR records (case number, action, dates, reason). Phone/website/services appear only when the licensee claimed the listing and we reviewed it.

## Licensed vs registered
Illinois has licensed CPAs and registered CPAs. 8401 registered CPAs are listed and labeled "registered, not licensed"; they may use the CPA title but, under 225 ILCS 450/8.05, only licensed CPAs may sign reports expressing assurance on financial statements such as audit reports. City pages count only licensed CPAs and CPA firms.

Registered CPAs may not sign reports expressing assurance on financial statements and have no CPE requirement. No new registrations have been accepted since June 30, 2012.
